Back to the Future: Train Scene Walkthrough
Back to the Future: Train Scene is a physics game based on the train scene in the 1990 movie, Back to the Future III. This train game features detailed graphics, menu music from the movies, and simple controls.
The objective of Back to the Future: Train Scene is to bring the DeLorean up to speed so that it can travel in time. To accomplish this goal, you must push the DeLorean along the track until the blue bar at the bottom of the screen fills. You must do this before the pressure bar fills. If the pressure bar fills, the locomotive will explode and you will be forced to restart this train game from its beginning!
Back to the Future: Train Scene is controlled by using the keyboard. The up arrow key causes your train to accelerate. The spacebar is used to activate your booster. Both of these actions build pressure in the locomotive, so try not do either too much. Cruising downhill without accelerating is one way to build up speed while allowing the pressure bar to decrease, but it may be hard to build or maintain speed when traveling uphill.
Back to the Future: Train Scene is not a perfect game; its lack of in-game instructions is the first fault, and a critical one at that. Secondly, even on the easy difficulty level (which is the only difficulty available, by the way), the game is excruciatingly difficult. Finally, the boost does not seem to be worth using at all in this train game. The boost adds a lot of pressure to the locomotive, but hardly increases your speed at all.
If you are a fan of the Back to the Future movie trilogy, or a gamer that just has to play every train game that you can find, then you may enjoy Back to the Future: Train Scene. If you are a casual gamer or easily frustrated, you may want to avoid this one due to its high level of difficulty.
