Train Traffic Control Walkthrough
Train Traffic Control is a train game where players must manage railway traffic. This puzzle game features mouse controls, top-down graphics, and challenging gameplay.
The objective of Train Traffic Control is to control the flow of railway traffic. Trains automatically travel along the track; it is up to you to change traffic signals and the directions of tracks to guide the trains safely to their destinations. If there is a single crash, then the game will end. If you manage to complete the day without any crashes, then you will progress to the next level of this train game. Unfortunately, your progress is not saved so you will have to start from the beginning each time that you play.
Train Traffic Control uses a mouse-only control scheme. Hover your mouse over tracks to display information about trains that will be arriving soon. Click on traffic signals to change them. Red means stop and green means go. Click on yellow levers adjacent to junctions to change the direction that trains travel in. To pan the camera, move your mouse to the left and right edges of the screen. Optional keyboard controls for panning the camera would have been a nice addition to this train game, but it is still possible to work with the mouse. You can quickly move the camera to a spot on the map by clicking on the minimap.
Train Traffic Control is a very challenging train game. The very first level may prove difficult for some players. The key to success in this puzzle game is time management. Move trains out of the area quickly to make room for other trains. Stopping trains in front of stations will reward more points, but increases the likelihood of collisions. Be sure to utilize the traffic signals to prevent crashes. You may also want to switch junctions to divert heavy traffic to other tracks.
Train Traffic Control is a fun puzzle game that will appeal to fans of traffic games and time management games. Casual players may find this train game to be too challenging, however.
